Our zodiac signs can tell us a lot about our communication styles, how we handle stress, and what we’re like in relationships, but they can also say a lot about our design styles. In fact, whether you believe in astrology or not, what we prefer when it comes to home design often says a lot about our personality as a whole.
So, if you’re an Aries, Taurus, Gemini, or Cancer and you’re trying to figure out how to design your home, here are some ideas:
You have a loud and vibrant personality, so your home should be a reflection of who you are. Because you don’t shy away from an adventure, you should definitely go for big and bold colors. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns, use wallpaper, and take a few risks. But, because you’re always on the go, make sure your home is functional and doesn’t require a lot of upkeep.
As a Taurus, you love being in a comfortable environment. You also enjoy being out in nature, so your design style may be a tad rustic. Because you crave comfort in your day to day life, you almost certainly should have a cozy sectional couch. This is where you can take naps, watch movies, or spend time with loved ones. And, because you are an earth sign, you should focus on using natural colors in your home, such as beiges, whites, and greys.
There is nothing Geminis love more than entertaining, so your space needs to be extremely versatile. If you’re buying a new home, look for one that has a very open floor plan. This will keep the home connected and feel as if it’s just one big space. You are also a tad eclectic and don’t mind your home feeling a little mismatched, so don’t be afraid to combine traditional and modern styles.
You love tradition and traditional items, so don’t be afraid to invest in antique pieces or to have a formal dining room. Your friends and family may not be into the idea, but if you know deep down you want a nice dining area, you should have one! You also love to cook and bake for loved ones, so the kitchen should be the focal point of your home. And, because you view your home as an oasis, go for more neutral tones when it comes to paint and furniture colors.
