According to scientists, not only are we humans locked down because of the coronavirus, but the sun is in a lockdown of its own “solar minimum,” a situation that has had direct consequences in the past. Find out what this means – plus, today’s horoscopes, astrological news and birthdays!
NASA scientists are warning that a “solar minimum” is coming. Actually solar activity has been on the wane for a while now.
“So far this year, the Sun has been blank 76 percent of the time, a rate surpassed only once before in the Space Age,” Forbes reported. “Last year, 2019, the Sun was blank 77 percent of the time. Two consecutive years of record-setting spotlessness adds up to a very deep solar minimum, indeed.”
Zee News of India reported that in addition to the solar minimum, “at the same time the magnetic field of the sun is decreasing. As a result, cosmic rays are entering the solar system in excess.”
But that isn’t the scariest thing the report stated. The report also pointed to historical events that occurred during past solar minimums.
“On April 10, 1815, a terrible eruption on Mount Tambora in Indonesia killed 61,000 people. The very next year (1818) the world saw the ‘year without summer’. In July of that year, snow fell in many parts of the world. This phenomenon is known to scientists as ‘Dalton Minimum.'”
The report went on to predict that “excessive winters and terrible earthquakes may increase in the world.”
A Wikipedia article confirms that one of the two largest eruptions in the past 2000 years occurred during the Dalton Minimum and states there is a “statistically significant link between the decreased solar output and an increase in volcanism.”
Astrologer Georgia Nichols writes: “Avoid shopping or important decisions from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. CDT. After that, the moon moves from Aries into Taurus.”
Astrologer Patrick Arundell advises: “As the Aries Moon angles towards Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn we could resist authority and be a tad unwilling to cooperate. We have to consider the pros and cons of doing so though, especially if we might lose out in other ways. A compromise may be best.”
Astrologer Nadia Gilchrist of Ruby Slipper Astrology says: “Moon/Venus can trigger some light but sassy energy… Venus is Rx, so this could even trigger an impulsive reconnection with someone from the past.”
Those born on May 19 are born under the sign of Taurus (April 20-May 20).
